Sadie Hawkins

You might have heard that Sadie Hawkins used to be the homeliest girl in town. The daughter of the mayor of Dogpatch, Hekzebiah Hawkins, Sadie was a shy girl. Daddy Hawkins was worried about Sadie living at home for the rest of his life, so he decreed the first annual Sadie Hawkins Day, a race in which the unmarried gals pursued the town's bachelors, with matrimony the consequence. Empowered by the eponymous holiday, Sadie began to learn the art of striptease.

She joined Atlanta's DollSquad Burlesque Revue as a card girl, and eventually began to perform solo acts on stage. In 2006, Sadie Hawkins and fellow DollSquad alum Barbilicious founded Blast-Off Burlesque.
