The Future of Tomorrow

We went back to our roots, with an all science fiction inspired show. Some of the acts were tributes to well-known stories, TV shows or movies; some were our own take on what makes for scifi. Either way, was some kind of something!
Guests
Our guests include Katherine Lashe, Ursula Undress, Flight of Swallows, Hoopsy Daisy, and Reget St. Charles…
Katherine Lashe
Katherine Lashe is the Southern Sin-sation putting the cheese back in cheesecake! She’s an international burlesque performer, teacher, MC, producer, and model with Syrens of the South. In 2008 she was Honkitup.com’s official pin-up, competed at Miss Viva Las Vegas, Miss Exotic World, performed at the Coney Island Rockabilly Festival and opened for Unknown Hinson during their Southeastern tour. Katherine also performed at 2009 Cigar City Tattoo Convention, 2009 PyrateCon, 2009-2010 Texas Burlesque Festival, 2008-2009 Americana Burlesque and Sideshow Festival, 2009 New Orleans Burlesque Festival, 2010 Dallas Burlesque Festival, 2010 Windy City Burlesque Festival and 2010 Vancouver International Burlesque Festival.
Ursula Undress
Thanks to her strong musical theater & dance background, Ursula’s first burlesque performance on stage earned her the title “Valedictorian of the Syrens of the South’s First Graduating Class”, and boy – she did her homework! Very soon, performing on the stage for a burlesque event came naturally to this black haired beauty.
Since then, she has performed in the Syrens’ bi-monthly shows as well as opening for Unknown Hinson, guest performing in the DragonCon Cabaret, shakin’ it at Hell on Wheels and Mon Cherie’s Rockabilly Lounge in Atlanta, and performing at the Americana Burlesque & Sideshow Festival in Asheville, NC, The Texas Burlesque Festival, and was a runner-up in this year’s Viva Las vegas Burlesque Competition.
Energetic, sexy, alluring, Ursula Undress is a balanced mixture of frolic and fever. Having a playful, yet naughty girl-next-door attitude while standing on the edge of darkness, Ursula invokes rockabilly glamour and subtle humor, peppered with sauciness and the ability to shake it, honey! Captivating audiences with both her energy and her shimmy, she is gaining steam in the burlesque world.
Flight of Swallows
A collaborative group of improvisational performers, Flight of Swallows came together in January 2010. The Swallows create an audio and visual experience incorporating aerial performance and a variety of musicians, including percussion and cello, as well as other instruments ranging from Theremin to saxophone, from accordion to banjo, from found objects to children’s toys.
Hoopsy Daisy
Hoopsy Daisy has been hooping for six years now and has had the priviledge of performing with Blast-Off for the last three. Hoopsy also fills her time making art and animations.
